IT took two races to
convince Noah Third
that driving his rally
car to and from race
sites maybe wasn’t
such a good idea.

“First race we rolied it;
had to drive ir home on a
SpaceSaver spare with a very
bent rear axle and the car
~ went sideways all the way
_home,” the 24-year-old
North Vancouver resident
recalled, “It was more stress-
ful driving it home than it was
driving in the race.”

Windsor before going on to
UBC where he received an

grew up in Burnaby and stud-
ied electronics at BCIT.

yellow 1975 VW Rabbit from
a rally driver in Eugene,
Oregon. The ft
drive car, described by Third
as “a shell with a roll cage”, is
a perfect entry-level machine
for rally racing.
