The Premier’s Athletic
Awards recognize the top
female and male athletes from
each sport participating in the
1995-96 B.C. athlete assis-
tance program administered by
the Ministry of Smalt Business,
Tourism and Culture.

Bremner was a silver medal-
ist as a member of Canada’s
synchronized swimming team
at the 1996 Olympics and was
a gold medalist at the French
Open as a member of the
Canadian team.

Burtini played for Canada
in the first World Soccer for
women in 1995 and set a
record for number of goals
scored (five) in one game in
