Big pat on the back to all those involved in searching for the cure to the worldwide epidemic of AIDS. The Think Aids Society is a group of such people who have contributed thousands of fund- raising dollars to rid the world of this scourge. Kudos to some of the diligent people like Ashley Delahunt, Ani Feuermann, Isabel Diamond, Fran Belzberg and Laura Vandriel. They were the orchestrators of the successful fund-raising Think Aids luncheon at the Governor General’s suite at the Pan Pacific to raise funds for St. Paul’s Hos- pital, AIDS research and the Pos- itive Women’s Network. The luncheon raised a total of $27,720. One person who's especially ex- cited at the prospect of having the cast of the box-office smash Jesus Christ Super Star in town is the Century Plaza‘s new PR lady Nina Rhodes, When Nina lived in Washington she was working for senator Bobby Kennedy. One of the fundraisers that she arranged for Bobby's campaign was the original opening night of Jesus Christ Super Star. The year was 1967 and the star of the show was Ted Neely. He and Nina became fast friends. But time goes by, they lost touch and she hasn't seen or talked to him in years. But she will very soon. The entire cast and crew of Jesus Clirist Super Star, who'll be here tomorrow, have now booked 40 rooms at Roy Lisogar's Century Plaza Hotel. And after the guest-hosting more than 1,200 people to dinner at the beginning of last week — the first ‘one was St. Paul’s Hos- pital’s 100th anniversary dinner — the hotel’s generous owner and president Roy Lisogar also wel- comed special friends and col- leagues Wednesday night for the annual pre-Christmas party in Club Mardi Gras. One of his guests, Art Jones, was going to drop off a note to Roy on Thursday morning just to say thanks for the wonderful par- ty. Instead, Art dropped off something better. Seems that when the Varicty Alex Blair of Richmond. The second aumber out of the’ barrel to win a $38,000 BMW 318SI belonged to Roy Lisogar, a real winner in every sense...
