NEW LIFT FOR SKI RESORT

WV firm masterminds Whistler gondola

THE WHISTLER Express Gon-
dola, a 10-passenger, high speed
gondola system opened this week
to whisk skiers from Whistler
Village to the Roundhouse in 18
minutes, is the latest achievement
of West Vancouver company Pro-
jex Management Ltd. The prin-
cipal of the company is Dai
Roberts.

Projex was appointed by
Whistler Mountain Ski Corpora-
tion to mastermind and coordinate
the Whistler Express project. The
task comprised of overseeing the
supply, design, installation and
commissioning of the gondola, as
well as the design, development
and construction of the related
buildings at the village, Olympic
and Roundhouse stations.

been responsible for building the
Nancy Greene Lodge, Whistler’s
Peak Chair and the Blueberry Hill
