STUDENTS get report cards to tell them how they're do- ing in school. Now, in an in- teresting turn of events, North Shore Continuing Education is preparing a report card on itself. An evaluation is underway to determine the quality of con- tinuing education services and to. suggest any im- provements that might be needed. — North. Shore Continuing Education is a department of School District 44 (North Vancouver) and works in close cooperation with School District 45 (West Van- couver), and 2! other com- munity agencies. For many years, the department has of- fered a wide variety of academic, vocational, com- munity education and general interest courses for adults, youths and children. Results of the internal assessment will then be verified by a team of four Directors of Continuing Education from other school districts. The evaluation will be completed by. May -15, allowing time for recommen- dations to be implemented during the fall cerm. The internal evaluation team is chaired by Ed Jackson, night school super- visor at West Vancouver Secondary School. Jackson and his team will be ad- ministering questionnaires and interviews with students, instructors, administrators, school trustees. and com- munity -agencies.
