4 + Band Festival The West Vancouver Band Association’s. 50th wa , a 4 ‘anniversary celebrations were held last weekend in West Vancoiver.:The mood was set or Friday night at a reception for alumni and their guests, when a display ‘of photographs, old films and slides was examined. Former members who had come from Toronto, On- tario, Hawaii and other places in B.C. and Alberta to attend the cvent greatly enjoyed greeting old friends that they. had not seen for many years. On Saturday a_ large number of alumni brought out their instruments and marched in: the West Vancouver Community Day Parade - remembering the many times they had taken part in May Day celebrations held in West Vancouver from 1930 to the early 70's. On Saturday night a dinner and concert were held for some 250 guests. At the concert a packed audience in the West Vancouver Secondary School theatre gave former conductor Arthur Delamont a standing ovation when he conducted o band which included a number of his former students, fan 4 BLOWING HIS OWN horn Is Ian Delamont, . who Band Festival at Windsor Secondary School.
