A typical three-bedroom bungalow in Langley now costs 72.6 per cent more than it did in June 1980, up ‘to $126,000 from $73,000. A Richmond bungalow is now $165,000, up 58.7 per cent from $104,000. Only one area surveyed recorded a price increase of less than 25 per cent: East Vancouver, where the bungalow rose in price by 11.9 per cent. Increases were even more startling on the larger two- storey, four-bedroom home. a : ’ . ‘ " ” a leads the way Surrey recorded a staggering 80.9 per cent increase in the price of the larger house over the eight-month survey period, from $93,000 in June to $170,000 in February. Prices were up 72.4 per cent in Richmond, 50.3 per cent in Kelowna, and 41.3 per cent in Nanaimo.
