Snow didn’t slow tourney DESPITE HEAVY snow, players, coaches, referees, linesmen and several devoted parents braved the elements to help the 28th annual Fred Page Midget ‘‘AAA" Hockey Tour- nament close out 1990 at the North Shore Winter Club. The four-day tournament saw 16 teams compete in three divi- sions. Top honors were earned by Burnaby in the A division, Langley in the B division and Prince George in the C division. The host team North Shore Winter Club midgets won their opening game 4-3 against Seattle but lost the second game to the eventual A winner, Burnaby. The North Vancouver midgets also won their first game against Comox but lost the next game to the eventual winner of the C division, Prince George. Neighbourhood House hosts activities NORTH SHORE Neighbourhood House is offering several oppor- tunities for individuals to par- ticipate in a wide range of spor- ting activities this winter. The Teen Club, for teens 10-15 years, is a sports-oriented, drop-in program which meets at the Neighbourhood House Wednes- Break slowly IF EXERCISE is not a part of your life, there are several ways you can try to slowly break into an exercise program.
