North Shore Health and
North Vancouver
Recreation Commission
are co-spansors of Beauty
from the Inside Out, a
smoking prevention work-
shop for adolescent girls,
ages 10 to 14. The work-
shop uses concepts of inner
and outer beauty as the
hook to discourage young
girls from) smoking. The
workshop includes presen-
tations and interactive ses-
sions led by peer counsel-
lors, aged 16 to 18. Topics
include the history of

beauty, smoking preven-
tion, body image and stress
management. Small-group
consultations with a hair
dresser and esthetician are
also offered. The cost is
$15 which includes hinch
and a T-shirt. The location
is Lynn Valley Hall, ar the
corner of Frederick and
Mountain. The time is 10
a.m. to 3 p.m. To register,
