Every now and then Prine drops
into the scene with a folksy charmer
and then promptly vanishes.

Four years ago he checked in
with The Missing Years, a minor
gem polished with the help of
Prine’s pals Phil Everly, Tom Petty,
Bonnic Ruait and Bruce Springsteen
(all backing vocalists).

He’s a songwriter’s songwriter
and the kind of natural storyteller
who squeezes the maximum juice
from the fruit of a life's earned wis-

Prine populates this world of fost
dogs with, motley selection of
