Cabs ticketed SEVERAL TAXIS were ticketed for vehicle defects by the police on Friday, June 4, after West Vancouver Police and North Vancouver RCMP traffic sections worked a vehicle inspection roadblock at the corner of Marine Drive and Capilano Road. The focus of the roadblock was to check for vehicle defects of Lower Mainland taxi cabs. Of 20 taxis checked, 15 were ordered to have safety violations corrected. Four of the 15 vehicles were immediately removed from the road due to braking system defects.
