McCredie Contributing Writer The meeting at recCentre Delbrook was the fifth of six workshops being conducted by the GVRD as a result of their Creating our Future program, a plan that places a high priority on establishing the region’s ‘*Green Zones.”* The GVRD — responsible for the acguisition, development and management of regional parks in Greater Vancouver — will take the inpu: from the public workshops and create a_fong- range plan for the region. A newsletter outlining the goals will be published and distributed in two months, At the April 1 meeting, Ken Capon, a charter boat operator, asked members of the GVRD to consider establishing a marine destination point at Granite Falls in Indian Arm, “The only place to dock is the Weldwood wharf, and it is getting rickety. Plus, the shoreline is loose gravel and quite difficult to walk on,”’ Capon said. Some of the Indian Arm shoreline is currently for sale, but the GVRD has deemed the price to be prohititively expensive.
