couver resident Ann Mor-
tifee is heading for the
World's Fair at Knoxville.

Mortifee and special guest
Pied Pear will appear as
headliners at the Knoxville
World's Fair during Canada
Week Celebrations com-
mencing August-23.

Always popular as both
performer and personality,
Mortifee will be.an am-
bassador to Expo °86, the
World Exposition on
Transportation and Com-
munications, to be held in
Vancouver from May 2 to
October 13, 1986. Pied Pear,
the comic folk duo, regulars
on the Vancouver folk
scene, will provide their own
special brand of entertain-

ment representing both Ex-

po ‘86 and the Canadian
government.

- and Jim McGillveray with a .

selection of her hit songs
from a recent concert tour
and from her two best-selling
albums. Pied Pear will open
the concert at 11:45 a.m
with a unique blend of music
and = laughter-provoking
material.

The free noon hour con-
cert, August 20, is sponsored
by Expo ‘86 and is the first in
a continuing series of
celebrations heralding the
World Festival, to take place
in Vancouver under the Ex-
po 86 banner.
