Teens experience

' THREE WILDERNESS outtrips for teens, age 13 to
18 yzars, are being sponsored by West Vancouver's
Eagle Harbour Cornmmunity Centre,

The wilderness outings will use iocal areas as a
training ground to develop outdoor skills, such as
making fires, outdoor cooking, the use of stoves,
nutrition, shelter building, predator awareness and
basic first aid.

An orientation night will precede each trip in order
to review such items as itinerary, equipment and food,

and to answer any questions from participants and
parents.

The following trips are planned: cycling the Sun-
shine Coast, Oct. 24 and 25; Wedge Mountain hike
(weather permitting), Nov. 14 and 15; Cheakamus
skill excursion, Dec. 12.

Participants must pre-register at least five days
prior to the trips. Early registration is recommended
since space is limited to 10.
