It has been less than six months since Jimmy Trims opened in the beautiful new Pemberton Plaza, and already thousands of people have experienced the Jimmy Trims system of hairdress- ing. Jimmy Trims is part of a fast growing chain of hair salons with locations all over the lower mainland and B.C.’s_ interior. This full service salon offers much more than a great $6 preci- sion cut. Jimmy Trims has a full range of services to offer its customers, including top quality perms, colors, streaks, and a guarantee that’s tough to beat. The hair designers are fully licensed professionals, some of whom have been trained in Eruope, as well as North America, Jimmy Trims is rather unique to the world of hair salons, in that it was design- ed to give as much flexibility and convenience to the cus- tomer as possible at the best prices possible. Appoint- ments are not necessary, but someone who is on a tight schedule certainly may make one, especially for perms or colors, to avoid having to wait. The Jimmy Trims management team, headed up by owners Doug Sproule and Christine Procter, is dedicated to providing a full service salon that gives the client more than he or she would normally expect. For example, the compuny'’s ar- tisic director has recently returned from England, where he attended a Vidal Sassoon course in advanced hairdressing. He has learned all of the latest techniques in hair designing, and has started workshops to pass this knowledge on to all of the Jimmy Trims staff members. This is an ongoing policy of Jimmy Trims; to bring you the t styles and tech- niques, at more than alfor- dable prices. - Michael London, Jimmy Trims saton coordinator, believes the key to Jimmy Trims success is goud cus- tomer relations. Talented hair designers are not enough, says London. They have to be willing to go that extra mile for the customer; they have to do more than what is expected of them. Free educational classes to the public are another ex- ample of Jimmy Trims dedication to their clients. They are currently organiz- ing free classes on proper techniques of blow drying and using the curling iron. The reason for these classes is explained by London, “We can give someone a great new style, but if they don’t know how to keep it up themselves, then we are both wasting our time. We not only style their hair, but we also show them = the methods and products used to keep that style looking great.” Another aspect that sets Jimmy Trims apart from the average salon is their Super Suntan Centre located right im the store.
