A: Metal and wood garage doors are made of very light
@ material to enable casy up and down movement, howev-
er, they let a lot of cold migrate into the garage cavity during
the cold months. To correct this problem insulation should be
applied to the inside surface of the door. Batt or rigid foam
insulation is net the answer as it adds too much bulk or weight
for easy door movement, therefore, for best results, apply a
shect of Reflectix Foil Insulation using velcro on a steel door
and stapling on a wood door thus reflecting the cold outdoors
and the heat indoors.
