RYLLO - Melvin Gienn, born June
28, 1933‘ in Hudson Hope, 6.C.,
Passed away at (he Lions Gate Hos-
pitat, Norih Vancouver on February
27, 1997. Glean was taised on the
family farm in Hudson Hope, at-
tenged grade school in a one room
schootheuse in Hudson Hope, and
high school at Vancouver Tech,
where he majored if. carpentry and
cabinet making. During his lifetime
he worked af a carpenter, electn-
Cian, TV repatman, mitlwright and
perated several businesses. He also
served in various positions on
Chambers of Commerce and other
organizations and found time to
Setve on the council of the Village
of Taylor, B.C. including several
terms as Mayor. Oa one occasion he
helped escort the Queen and Prince
Phillip on their visit to the Peace. 's
1966 he becsme the instant father
when he mariied Marianne Deebee,
a wicow with three young sors. The
family was inceezsed by another son
and a daughter, in 1968 and 1970.

Sicamous, B.C. He was employed on
the Revelstoke Dam. some pinjects
in California and Vancouver. end

Ouring his setirement. he took up
square dancing where fhe met

Scott in Bahrain. Glenn was ex-
tremely proud of his children and
their accomplishments, they and his
grandchildren were a great seuice of
Pleasure ta him. Glean truly toved
chitdren, they sensed it and loved
him in return. Glenn is survieed by
his best friend Isabel Evans of North
Vancouver, his mother Edith (Ed-
wards) Kyllo of Hudsun Hope, 3.C.;
aunt Ethel Edwards of North Vr9-
couver, brotivs Ken (Lovette) ano
Dave (Margaret) of Huoson Hope and
Mario, Myete) a Malakwa, 8.C.;
sons Mike (Kim: of Pence George,
B.C., Scott (Heather) of Manan
Bahrain, todd (Jotayna) and Greg
(Georgina) of Sicamnus, 6.C., daugh-
ter Janice Bart} Bridle of Maiahwa,
B.C., and aine grandchildren Sarah,
Brittany, Alyrsa, Erek, Angs.a, Chan,
Emily, Samantha and Lex. Glenn
was predeceased by nis father

at Redwing, Penticton, B.C. on Feb-
nuaty 25, 1997, follewng 2 coura-
geous battle with cancer. Born Apnit
14, 1935 in Nelson, B.C. Predeceas-
ed by her father Witham (1955).

Helen (1986). She will be lovingly
remembered by her husband Bill;
sons tim (Debbie) u: Agassiz. Joe of
Narth Vancouver, and daughter San-
dra (Harold Dorgelo) of Nelson;
special grandchildren Darcic, Darren
and Sarah; brother dichard Brown of
Neilson, and nephews fan, Neil,
Gaucy and Brian Isbister.

Barbara devoted her lite to caning
{sr others. She compteted her
fAurse’s training at Royal Jubilee
Hospital in Victoria in 1957. After
taking time to raise her children,
she continued her nursing career in
North Vancouver at Lions Gate Hus-
Dital - Evergreen House (1 South) for
17° years, until ratiring in 1993.
Sasbara touched us all with her
kindness and guxtle ways. She will
be truly missed.
