By Anna Marie D'Angelo News Reporter Thieves also made off with underwater equipment used for deep-sea diving films such as lights, cameras, cables, connectors, VCR editing equipment and micro- phones. Computers were also stolen. The total haul of stolen goods added up to $201,170, according to North Vancouver RCMP Const. Ian Daniels. “The native artwork pieces were high quality,” said Daniels. About two hours after the midnight burglary, a person in Vancouver saw some of the stolen goods being unloaded out of a Can- Dive van (also stolen) in the 1000- block of Pacific Avenue. Daniels said the witness called the phone number at the side of the Can-Dive van, but the information was not given to police until six pours later. The stolen van was later recovered in Stanley Park. Among the art pieces were a $25,000 potlatch mask, prints, carved-wooden boxes and masks that are valued at $5,000 each.
