Eagle Har- bour Community Centre in West Vancouver is offsring two pro- grams. A Babysaver CPR course will take place on Monday, April 24 from 6:15 to 10:15 p.m. This four-hour certification course is designed for parents, nannies and others involved in infant care. Participants will learn to ad- minister CPR and techniques for rescuing choking infants or children. French winners go to UBC SHERWOOD PARK Elementary School recently hosted the North Vancouver School District finals of the Concours d’Art Oratoire, a French public speaking contest held every year in conjunction with the Parents for French Associa- tion. Students from Grade 6 to 12 compete in Immersion Fran- cophone and French as a Second Language categories. This year’s contest included a range of topics dealing with personal experiences, personal opinions, and the sharing of information. The winners of each category will go on to a provincial competi- tion to be held at the University of British Columbia on Saturday, April 22.
