Doug Collins @ get this straight ® | TODAY WE give you more proof that Brian Baloney and his pack of political bindlestiffs are every bit as bad as the Trudeaucrats, and that they will sell the country to the cheapest bidder without a blink. My apologies, but I'm talking about the refugee racket again after having put you off your din- ner with it only two weeks ago. But what has happened since then y demands comment. By this time it should not be news to you that this country’s immigration rules are wide open to abuse, and that to gain entry to this country all that people have to do is to show up at an airport and whine that they are refugees. The cost to the Canadian taxpayer is $38 million a year in welfare payments alone, plus another $45 million for language training and $20 million for incidentals. In ad- dition, the nature of the country is being changed. The latest ones to discover the glories of the Canadian immigra- tion hash — in their thousands — are the Portuguese. Aided by crooked lawyers and ‘‘con- sultants’’ they lie in their teeth, claiming to be persecuted Jehovah's Witnesses, which they’re not. Or they flood in as ‘‘visitors’’ having not the slightest intention of going back home. Immigration officials in Toron- to say there has never been an onslaught on the system like it, and morale has disappeared through the floor. ““We’ve been made to think that the immigra- tion process is nothing but a big political joke,” one of them was acid b iT about reported as saying. Our cowardly and morally cor- rupt governors in Ottawa know all about this, naturally. The im- migration department has told them time and time again. But they do the three monkeys act. Twice, orders-in-council have been written that would stop the traffic. On each occasion Baloney himself has vetoed them. All that is necessary to stop this racket, you see, is that Portuguese leaving Portugal for Canada be obliged to have visas. The deed was almost done in May. Walter McLean, the former trembling Minister of State for Immigration who has now been replaced by some other wimp, was all set to announce a visa restric- tion on the Portuguese. But Baloney intervened and that was that. The politicians don’t give a damn what harm is done to the country. Nor do they care what laws are being infringed or what expense the taxpayer is put fo. Where immigration is concerned, all they care about is whether they can suck up to some ethnic group. {t was the Toronto Tory MPs who lobbied the prime minister on this one. Requiring the incoming, Ports to have visas, they said, would not please local voters of that race. There are no immigration critics in Parliament. They may call themselves that, but no MP in any of the parties puts the good of the country before the good of the party. As far as they are concern- ed, there can’t be too many abuses. That’s why Sergio Marchi put on such a perverted performance when McLean was finally per- suaded to move. Marchi is the Liberal immigration ‘‘critic’’ and thought it was disgusting that the Tories had even considered im- posing a visa Portuguese. “LT believe (McLean) has besmirched the good name of an ally and owes the Portuguese Canadian community @n apology,’ stated this twerp without even sniggering. As I've told you before, it's a case of Parliament versus the Peo- ple. In Ontario, for example, the common folk are so mad about what is happening that immigra- tion officials asked the papers not to print any more stories about bogus Portuguese refugees. The only way to stop these shenanigans is to get a million let- ters on Baloney’s desk raising hell about the state of his spine. And to Iet your MP know that unless things change you won't vote for him — or her — come the next election. They may then come to the conclusion that you are as im- portant as the liars who are flooding in from the four corners of the earth. system oon the Thurs. July 17 7:15 P.M.
