SAILING RACE

IN CONJUNCTION WITH
SEA FESTIVAL ‘86

The 1986 running of the Ninth Annual North Shore News
Sailing Race, co-sponsored by Sea Wing Sailing School and CJOR-600,
is set for Sunday July 27th.

Racers from previous years will be familiar with the course
from the start at Dundarave Pier, to a marker at Point Atkinson,
to the Point Grey Bell Buoy, to a marker set 0.7 miles south of the
center channel marker, to the finish line off Kitsilano Yacht Club,
a distance of approximately 12 miles.

The start will be conducted at 10:00 am, and the official
finish time is 3:00 p.m. Ceremonies and awards presentations will
begin as soon as possible after 3:00 pm. at the Granville island
Ballroom, located between the Boardwalk Cafe and Sea Wing
Sailing School.

This ninth annual family sailing event is open to all cruising |
sailboats regardless of club membership or affiliation.

Entry Forms

Are available at the North Shore News, Sea Wing Sailing
School and CJOR-600. Entry fee of $25 is payable to the North
Shore News.

Spinnakers and bloopers are not permitted.
