a frozen roast make you

everyone - just ask my
family about the meals
around here for the past
couple of weeks.

On the few days | got the
show on the road, everyone
figured the performance had
been cancelled and no one
showed up.

This week I'm going to fix
all that. On one day - pro-
bably the day after payday,
I’m going to spend some time
bulk cooking and stock my
freezer! Buy Low 1s featuring
lean ground beef at $1.58 a
pound - it’s best for dishes
such as:

Donna's Pizza Loaf
1 loaf French bread
Ib. lean ground beef
3 cup chopped ripe olives
1 tablespoon instant
minced onion
teaspoons mixed Italian
herbs
teaspoon garlic salt
Dash pepper

1 ounce tin tomato sauce

Va cup grated Parmesan
cheese

1 cup shredded
cheese

We're out of
again - Safeway has 1 litre
cartons of Sun-Rype, blue
label for 88¢ and Stongs has
it for 87¢. Woodward's
brand 48-ounce tins are
$1.29. We like both brands
but 1 must admit we have
fewer accidents with the tins.

Fresh, whole frying
chickens are an excellent buy
this week at Stong’s (98¢ a
pound) and Super Valu (99¢).

Bulk weiners are a good
choice at Super Valu, 99¢ a
pound. Sick of hot dogs? Try
wrapping weiners in bacon,
secure with a tooth pick and
bake alongside macaroni and
cheese Coleslaw is a good
go along

Combine sauce ingredients
and simmer 20 minutes. Cut
wieners in bite-sized pieces,
skewer each with a toothpick
and bake about 15 minutes at
325° or until heated through
and the fat has rendered out.
Combine with sauce and
serve in a chafing dish.

Boneless chicker breasts
are $3.99 a pound and
boneless thighs are $2.99 at
Woodward's this week.
These are fresh so may be
frozen. For best results,
freeze individually on a
cookie sheet and then bag
and store.

Safeway is featuring
medium eggs at $1.29 a
dozen. | tried this recipe last
week - just made " up as 1

Split eggs in half,

lengthwise and remove yolks.
Whip yolks and mayo witha
hand mixer until fluffy. Stir
in remaining ingredients.
Mound the filling back in the
