QUESTION: If you were to
overhear some of my friends
talking about me, sooner or
later you would probably
hear one or more of them
say, “He’s a non-stop
thinker”. Of course that b a
wild exaggeration, but there
is enough truth in it to give
you an idea of what I'm like.
I do a lot of thinking, and, |
suppose, a lot of talking
about it. Fm not really too
sure of anything, but I have a
lot of curiosity. I'm fairly
steadily on the search. But I
feel cluttered in my thinking.
There's too much to think
about. So, here's my
question. How does a person
focus in on what ts important
and how does a person
eliminate doing a lot of
thinking about things that
are not important at all? I
guess ['m trying to arrive at

one or two priorities that I
can respect and give my
energies to. What do you
think lies at the very centre
of what we human beings are
striving for?

the possibility of my
responding to your questing
spirit, briefly, seemed very
remote. On the other you
seem to be a person who
surely does not want slick
“answers” from me, or from
anyone else, but rather,
wants an idea or a “lure” to
explore and follow, within
your own freedom. So Ill
give it a try. Why not?

LOVE as a priority you
could “respect” and give
your energies to. But I have

A dog named Cockles

QUESTION: I had a pet dog

week it died. It got rum over
by a stupid truck. I. had

now no Cockles. My folks
