Senior citizens will be. admitted to the Boat Show free of charge throughout the day. In addition to be able to view hundreds of exhibits of power and sail boats and accessorics, the Boat Show guests will be able to take a nostalgic sail down memory lane courtesy of “The Sound Policy”, a Vancouver-based barbershop quartet. The “Senior Skippers” will also be treated to a slide presentation by the Van- couver Aquarium and will be special guests at Radio CKNW’'s World of Boating, a nightly fashion show and activity program featured at the Boat Show. And to help stock their galleys, the “Senior Skip- pers” will be eligible for food hampers being given away every hour throughout the day by Super Valu Stores. The 1980 Vancouver International Boat Show will be officially opened February 1 by Honorary Commodore Betty Cook, the world offshore powerboat champion. Cook will be assisted by “Bee Bop Beluga”, the mascot of the Vancouver Aquarium. More than 200 companies displaying in excess of $10- million worth of marine craft and = accessorics will be taking part in the 10-day show This 15th annual Boat Show will be berthed at Vancouver's Exhibition Park and some 75,000 visitors are expected to tour the displays set up in the Coliseum, Rollerland, Showmart and Food Buildings. Hours for this year’s Boat Show are noon to 10 p.m. on Opening Day, Friday, February 1, noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 6 p.m. Sundays, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and noon to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Admission is $3 for adults -and $1,50 for, juniors (five to 15) as well ; as, ‘sénior citizens.
