ASSISTANCE for people interested in the Regional and Economic Development Ministry’s new Employee Investment Program is available on the North Shore. The program provides for the setting up of Employee Share Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and Eraployee Venture Capital Cor- poratioas (EVCCs). Through an ESOP, employees may directly in- vest in their employer's company. Through an EVCC, employee groups can pool funds to invest in smail to medium-sized businesses. ‘The Royal Trust Cornoration was recently appointed as the private sector delivery agent for the program. The North Van- couver branch of Royal Trust and Pro Technical insurance Services are acting as sub-agents in North Vanceuver.
