There used annihilated by bulldozers just so we can have a bigger and better dump than ever. This unsavory piece of land is being extended half a mile or more northward to accommodate even more garbage. I know exactly how the poor rabbits in Watership Down felt when the land developers confiscated their homes. It is not so easy for us to flee, however, in search of a better place. A beautiful woodland which should be retained for our children is now a horrible morass of mud, worse now since the recent floods. Ac- cess to the south end of the Park is virtually blocked, unless one wishes to leap from rock to rock up the Creek. Even the Baden Powell trail from Lillooet Road to Lynn is littered with garbage’ at first, with no discernible markers, and seems to need ropes to I : f f 3 é qi 5 navigate. Surely, it would be wise to encourage householders to recycle their garbage as much as possible -- don’t know just how we apartment dwellers will manage, but surely we could work something out. Before long, the garbage mountains will be the highest of all and we will have to leave town to see the real ones! Marian Hale North Vancouver Legion doesn't cause the noise OPEN. LETTER TO ALD. Last week seven Canadian ‘premiers shafted Quebec over the constitution. This will be long remembered in Quebec and will never be forgiven. It will make most of the Quebecois into separatists.
