Sportsplex is hosting some
of the best martial aris ex-
perts in the world this
Saturday, March 27, during
the Tiger Balm Interna-
tionals.

The World Karate Asscciation-
«sponsored Martial Arts
Challenge, beginning at 8 p.m.,
will feature black-belt contact
fighting (including throws), squar-
ing fighters of different disciplines
against one another — karate vs.

kung fu vs, tae kwon do vs. ken-
po vs, jujitsu.

North Vancouver’s Farid Dor- -

dar, a former North American
karate champion, is a strong con-
tender for the world title.

The tournament begins at 9
a.m. and will feature children and
adult divisions in all styles of
martial arts throughout the day.
