RULES GOVERNING THE GREAT CAPILANO RIVER
DUCK RACE

Amaximum of 30,000 ducks will be available tor sponsorship at $5.00 each.

Ducks will be launched from the Upper Levels Highway at Capilano Road at approx. 1:00 p.m. on
Sunday, March 14th, 1993. The Rotary Club of North Vancouver (RCNV) reserves the right, in Its
discretion, to postpone or ra chedule the Quck Race due to inclement weather, acts of God, or
other circumstances beyond Its reasonable ccntrol.

Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own, No attempt te free or interfere with any duck Is
permitted unless deemed necassary by the RCNV or its nominated course marshall.

RCNV will assign registration numbers to each sponsorship entry and will mark ducks to correspond
with said entries for identification. The ducks will ramain the property of the RCNV.

Winners will be notified by registered mail at the address un thelr entry form or ticket, also by
telephone and In the North Shore News. Winners will be afinounced immediately after the race at
the finish area. A winner Is entitled to receive only the prize awarded and {s responsible for any
other costs involved.

By entering, winners consent to the promotionaluse of their names and likenesses without
addtional compensation.

No winner will be awarded more than two prizes.

Prizes will be awarded “as is” and no substitution of prizes will oe permitted. RCNV will have no
lability with respect to any prize awarded, All prizes ara non-transferable,

Duck Race entrants need nct be present to win.

Prizes won by minors will be awarded to their parent or tegal guardian.

RCNV's decision regarding the race and the intetpretaucn of these rules will be final if deemed
necessary. RCNV has the discretion to modify the rules.

ita winner does not come forward to claim the prize within 60 days after the race, that prize will be
forfeited and RCNV will declare another winner for that prize.

Members of the RCNV and their immediate famillas are not eligible to win,
