The subscriber-based publication which is aimed at the burgeoning 50-plus market, began in 1952 as The Pensioner and amalgamated with the Senior Citizens’ News in 1988. Bonita McKay also announced the establishment of the Chuck Bayley Memorial Award, which will honor a B.C. individual or group for outstanding service to seniors. A plaque will be awarded at an annual Chuck Bayley Memorial Award dinner held each September, proceeds to go to the Chuck Bayley bursary fund, es- tablished for the B.C.
