The theme of this year’s meeting is Listening to Creation: Restoring the Harmony. Along with the business of conference there will be theme presentations on en- vironmental concerns and native land claims. Resolutions to be brought before the conference will focus on such issues as refugees, Central Ameri- can children being sold to indus- trialized countries, Third World debt, the B.C. social assistance system, the Expo lands sale to Concord Pacific, and affordable housing in the province. High on the list of priorities for the conference will be matters dealing with the land question of B.C.’s native people. In one of the final acts, the con- ference will ordain five women and six men to the Ordained Ministry at its Celebration of Ministry ser- vice Sunday morning, May 14.
