Here’s the library news in brief: The Friends of the Library will hold their first. meeting after the summer break on Sept. 28. The group is dedicated to sup- porting the aims and objectives of the library, and they operate the gift shop in the library. The shop will be open on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, with all proceeds going into a fund to aid expansion of the library building. Another of their upcoming pro- jects is the fall book sale, sched- uled for Sunday, Oct. 30. eee The library board has decided to open the Jibrary on Sundays star- ting Oct. 2, instead of Oct. 16 as originally planned.
