22 ~ Sunday, September 13, 1987 - Players North Shore News needed for Argos team PLAYERS ARE needed for the Gordon Sturtridge League’s North Shore Argos midget football team. The team, which plays in the Vancouver Metro Football League, is made up of players between the ages of 15 and 17. Because the team has been undermanned, the Argos have had to forfeit their last two league games. The team currently has 19 players, but, under league reeula- tions, must have a minimum of 22 registered. GSL spokesman Peter Lancaster said, ‘We would tike to have 35 players, but 25 10 30 would give everyone a good chance to play.’’ Those interested in trying out for the Argos should show up at North Vancouver's Delbrook Park, which is located at Queens and Delbrook Avenue, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. or Saturdays at JJ a.m. For more information call Peter Lancaster at 988-6000.
