The West Vancouver Community Arts Council wants to take advantage of that. West Van’s Arts Council is offering an instructional course under artist Jack Campbell. Campbell will be taking advantage of the park setting at Klee Wyck for an inten- sive week of drawing and painting for the beginning to advanced artist. The course, for teens and adults, runs August 12-16. During the mornings, a number of drawing ap- proaches will be used to help students in the handling of landscape forms. in , the afternoons, an exploration of traditional and contem- porary approaches to paint- ing will be offered. Em- phasis will be on the ny prdjedd development forms. Camptell works as a full time artist, graphic designer and art instructor. For a number of years he has taught in the Lower Mainiand and for eight years he taught full time at the Kootenay School of Art. He presently teaches for Emily Carr College, the Vancouver School Board, the Okanagan Summer School of the Arts and the White Rock Art Association. In all his classes, personal- ized instruction is offered to all students: beginner, in- termediate and advanced. Students will be encouraged to work at their own level while developing a personal imagery in their painting. Early registration is recommended.
