The win leaves the Blues with a conference record of 2-2. Pacific Lutheran Universi- ty proved a bit (00 much in exhibition play on Sunday for Blues when they took a close 3-2 decision. However, according to coach Joe lacobellis, that will be the last exhibition game for some time as the Blues will be concentrating ference games. Top spot in the first divi- sion went to the Western Realty Spurs with their con- vincing 3-QO victory over Capilano. West Van Square Rigger squeezed into second place with their narrow 3-2 win against Elworthy Elec- tors. Other games had Shop- pers Drug Mart trouncing the , West Van Rangers 8-2 and the North Shore Crusaders blasting Pegasus Hycaps 8-0. The Seaspan Mariners left no doubt about first place in second division as they dumped Deep Cove United 5-0. The North Shore Wolves won their second game in a row with a close 3-2 score against West Van United. In other action the West Van Sea Lions tied the Pemberton Station Rangers 2-2. The North Mount Spuraways, who had a bye, watched their third division lead hold as the Mt. Seymour Wanderers could only manage a 3-3 tie against the Burrard Warriors. Flames suffered their first loss of the season Wednesday night 7-4 to U.B.C. in Juniors hockey ac- uon. The difference in the game was the goalkeeping. Goddard in the Flames’ nets was a little shaky while Ran- dy Beres in the U.B.C. nets was outstanding. Scoring for the Flames was Jim Wilson, with two, Peter Gustafson and Cam Drew. Friday night the Flames travelled to Ladner where they defeated the Rebels 6-5. The Flames scored two goals in the last 50 seconds for the win. Jeff Sherman scored the winner with 28 seconds to go giving him the hat trick on the night. Sherman also chip- ped in an assist. Other goals were scored by Cam Drew, Gord Wilson and Jim Wilson. Saturday night at home the Flames defeated the Delta Saints 5-4.
