DURING THE past year of
cutbacks, staff layoffs and
confrontations, school
trustees in West Vancouver
had little to be happy of, but
on Monday night they did get
one report that gave them
cause to smile.

Ten per cent of the School
District’s Grade 12 class —
48 of 464 students — received
scholarships against a provin-
cial average of three per cent.

The district also placed
three students among the top

Secondary, Farhand Rabbani
and Firouzeh Rabanni of
West Vancouver Secondary.
