The children were tested in areas such as riding skills and mechanical condition, with prizes being awarded to the winners in the different classes. An important part of the Cyclorama was the bicycle registration - this registering of the bikes acts as an effective deterrent against theft. But mostly it was a fun way of giving some lessons in rules of the road to a lot of young riders.
