Car pileup on Parkway

NOBODY was seriously injured fact Thursday afternoon after thie six-car accident on Mount Soymour
Parkway. North Vancouver RCMP are investigating the incident.

Vehicle collides with fire track

Provincial Park was closed
Tuesday afternoon when a
vehicle spun out of contro!
and collided with a fire
truck.

A North Vancouver

District Fire and Rescue crew
was responding to a miniven
that had gone off the road
around 3:45 p.m. in snowy
conditions. There were no
injuries. A Toyota Rav-4 with

three occupants was descend-
ing the mountain when it lost
control and crashed into the
driver’s side near the front of
the 1986 Hub Mack fire
truck, said spokesman Chicf
Brian Stegavig. -

No onc in the Rav-4 or fire
truck was injured.

“We estimate. $4,000 to
$5,000 of damage to the fire
truck. } am not sure what
damage we had to the other
vehicle,” Stegavig said.
