THE EXPRESSION “the great pumpkin” had new meaning this year for North Vancouver resi-
dent Walter Shepherd, who managed to include this 45 kg (100 Ib.) beauty In his Halloween
display. There was no word Tuesday on whether any pint-sized Cinderellas had hitched the
brulser up to a team of mice before midnight and set of for a Halloween ball. Shepherd

| bought his great pumpkin in Langley. Pickings tended to be smaller in local stores.
