In fact, North Shore Credit Union was among the first credit unions to appear after the provincial governinent made them legal in British Columbia in late, , 1939. Each threw a dollar on the table at the Palace Hotel, signed our charter, and we were in business. 50 years later those original 10 dollars have grown to over $347 million in assets —a good ®@ a a reason to celebrate, we thought.
