existence for 50 years.
In fact, North Shore
Credit Union was among
the first credit unions to
appear after the provincial
governinent made them
legal in British Columbia

birthday bash on June
2nd, at Carson Graham
Secondary School in
North Vancouver.

Palace Hotel, signed our
charter, and we were in
business. 50 years later
those original 10 dollars
have grown to over
$347 million in

Tr would be interesting
to know what the original
10 members thought of the
Credit Union's future at
the time they signed the
charter, whether they
thought their dollar would
amount to anything. In
fact, with a curious twist
of fate, each of those
dollars invested for 50
years at 6% interest
would be worth $19.91,
today in 1991.
