Oreanizers haope to interest bridge players in both North and West Vancouser in the event which will be primarily a bridge affair, with a 45-minute fashion shaw by Nina's Boutiqus. Both bridge prives and dour prizes will be won by guests, courtesy of Robert Brvan Hair Design of West Vancouver, Woman to Woman magazine, Shery] Mottus Fashion Consultant and Joan Cook of Mary Kay Casmetics. The centre, which sernes as a volunteer referral and recruitment agency and an information bureau, relies on such events for 31.2 per cent of its annual budget. ‘*Many people assume that because the word ‘volunteer’ appears in our name we require very lite tune ding ° says Margaret Ritmsuy, ¢x- ecutive difector of the centre. “Although we do rely on volun teets — 63 of them in fact these are full and part-time siaff people needed und every service we offer involves sone costs.” Rainsay is enthusiastic about the campaun. They deliver 75 of our Wednesday and Friday News in our Delbrook Zone and the service they pro- vide is just excellent. Todd is 12 years old, attends grade 7 at Carisbrooke School and enjoys PE. He plays hockey for the North Shore Winter Club and is a Seft winger. Other sports for Todd include ten- nis and skiing. Adam is 10 years old and is in grade 5 at Carrisbrooke School. His favourite subject is math and he plays the trom- bone in the schoo! band. He is involved in karate and his hobby is stamp collecting. Both boys have used their paper route money to buy sports equipment, spending money and they both try to save some. We enjoyed meeting these fine young carriers and for being our double stars this week.
