ECONOMICAL DEAL Cyprus sounds AS ANY of a hundred tour promoters will tell you, it’s impossible to buy a spot in this column. It’s equally dif- ficult to convince me that some tour or another (that I haven't done myself) is a good deal. ! have found one that [ can't resist. What would you think if I told you that you could visit the island of Cyprus for three weeks for $1,428 per person/double oc- cupancy, including a four-star hotel apartment (kitchenette, bath, etc). And, should you like, you may take an overnight cruise to Israel, have a bus tour to Bethlehem and Jerusalem and overnight back for $200 (P.P./D10). Or the same thing to Egypt (bus to Cairo) for the same? What if you were a ski/sun buff and could do both, in Cyprus, in February? Also, what if 1 told you that you could do every tour of the island during your stay for $100 total cost? You’d probably tell me I was a brick short of a load (or fell asleep in 1960 and hadn’t awakened since). I haven’t been to Cyprus. It sounds like my kind of place.
