Lifestyles. IN. Vancouver senior’ jnominated for award SPRINT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS Simon Fraser holds fun-run SIMON FRASER University Alumni Association will hold a 10 kilometre Fun-Run on Sun., Sept. Jat 10a.m. John Hill, the meet director, in- vites all members of the running public: ‘Join us at SFU — along with our alumni and friends.” Hill explains that the Alumni Fun-Run, which is cosponsored by Microtel, is being held for the se- cond consecutive year. “The Alumni Association wants to bring together runners from the university community,and runners form all around the Lower Mainland.” An SFU alumnus himself, Hill was B.C. Marathon champ in 1978, '80 and ‘81. Currently, Hill coaches and offers personalized training and services for runners through PR Programs. The Fun-Run has four categories: Open Men and Women, and Masters Men and Women. There are prizes for the first three in all categories, plus draw prizes, including a season’s pass to Grouse Mountain. Entry fees are $7 pre-registration and $10 on race day. All registra- tions include a long-sleeve T-shirt. Proceeds from the run will sup- port alumni programs, including the scholarship and bursary fund.
