NORTH VAN Harbour City continued its domination
of opponents in Metro League Hockey crushing the
hapless Burnaby Barons by a lopsided 12-1 score
- Tuesday at North Van. Rec., and remain undefeated in

this season’s play.

game, and before the period
ended team-mates Gord
Peters, Glen Campo, and
Daryl Stanwood each added
a goal to give North Van a 4-
Olead at the end of one.

Burnaby's only goal of the
game came two minutes into
the second period, but Gord
Rae got that one back for
North Van only a minute

later. Then at 12.36 of the
period, Stanwood connected
with his second of the game,

Need for coaches
in ‘Y’ basetball

need for coaches in the
North Shore YMCA’s Youth
Basketball Canada (YBC)
Program.

The program encompasses
North and West Vancouver
and offers an enthusiastic
sports program for boys and
girls Grades 3-9, based on
rules of fair play and equal
playing time.

Youth Basketball Canada
is separated into three
leagues: Grade 3-4; Grade 5-
6 and Grade 7-9. Games are

played once a week at the —

“Y” and practises are held at
local schools.
