Change bridge worker hours

For the past two weeks
because of the tag persons at
the location where the work-
ers are holding “slow” signs,
the traffic has slowed down
considerably causing a major
the occasional accident on backup from the main arter-

1 realize the motorists
must slow down to protect
the workers, however, I think
a rgasonable sofution and
compromise to this situation
would be to have the workers
start after 9 a.m. and finish
betore + p.m.

{ also understand this
would cause further delays in
finalizing the refurbishing of
the bridge; however, 1 am
sure that all the North Shore
motorists commuting to and
from town every weekday
morning would be happy
with this decision.

From experience working
in an engineering office, on
other major Lower Mainland
bridges work was specifically
banned during rush hours!

Arriving at the office a
half hour later every morning
not only causes problems but
is very counter-productive
not to mention extremely
stressful!

The problems on the
Lions Gate Bridge will only
yet worse if something is not
done immediately to help
both the workers and the
motorists!
