The victim on this oc- casion was Castlegar's Selkirk College Saints who fell to the Blues by a 2-0 count on Saturday, then were dumped 4-0 im the rematch on Sunday. In West The three North Shore Metro teams saw action Tuesday night as the North Van teams battled it out at the Rec Centre and West Van's Northridge Rockets visited Burnaby Winter Club. At Four Rinks Rockets had an easy time of it, coasting to a 10-2 win over the Burnaby team and stretching their undefeated string to four games. Paul Patterson paced the Rocket attack with three goals while Norm Sawers and Dave Cook each had a pair, and Danny Corrigan, Saturday’s game at Myrtle Park, Tom Herdman and Brent Murdoch scored a goal each in the first half to provide the 2-0 margin of victory. On Sunday, the two teams played a tight, scoreless first frame before Cap College exploded for four unanswered goals in the second half. Ron Accilli notched the first goal off a caqrner kick from Narinder Bir while Murdoch made it 2-0 five minutes later. Bir again Peter Karpiak and Mark Ingram contributed singles. The Rockets led 3-1 at the end of one, 9-2 after two, then added one goal in the third for a 10-2 final. Grant Hebert and Glen Luscombe shared _ the goaltending assignment for the Rockets. At North Van Rec Centre Bob Murphy’s power play goal with only 1:50 remaining salvaged a 5-5 draw for Picassos in their contest with Dick Irwin's Mountaineers. Mountaineers built up a 2- O lead in the first period on lofted a corner kick to the front of the goal and Nigel goals by Danny Hogan and Mark Anderson but just 24 seconds into the middle frame Eric Noble's tap-in of Allan Stahl’s rebound was the start of a four goal scoring spurt by the Picassos. Mountaineers outshot the Picassos 29-28. Dave Warren handled the goaltending assignment for Picassos and Mark Lafond and _ Bichl shared the task for the Mountaineers. In Sunday's Metro action, Picassos are at West Van at 3:15 for their first meeting of the season with Rockets.
