Workshop targets retirement security A ONE-NIGHT financial plaaning workshop on Retirement Security is being offered at the North Shore Neighbourhood House. This program is for those who are or are soon to be retired. Topics that will be covered include: what to do with your RRSPs; how to save tax; general saving tips. The course, which is being instructed by Teresa Moylan of Investors Syndicate, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. There is no charge, but interested participants are asked to pre-register by phoning 987-8138. The volunteer positions would suit people who like to work with children and have two free hours a week. The centre offers two different types of volunteer work — indoor and outdoor. Outdoor volunteers instruct elementary school field trips on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday rnormings. Indoor volun- teers assist the public in the centre and can choose their own hours. Spring volunteer training begins Feb. 13. Programs run from March to June.
