Capilano residents
request traffic,
neighbor studies

THE DISTRICT of North Vancouver moved
quickly to respond to residents’ calls for action at

council Monday.

for action on promised traf-
fic and neighborhood
studies.

time.on a proposed planning
study, scheduled to begin'i in
the fall, and to conduct ‘it in

drive; and' a request to
RCMP to monitor Hope and

Tatlow Roads for traffic and -§

speeding violations.
The letter to council said

will affect traffic on his
street. Gardner told council
commuters take a shost cut

along Tatlow to Capilano
Road and he expressed con-
cern for safety, saying many
of the drivers were travelling

at speeds in excess of the .

speed limit.

Wayne Howell, of 1378
W. 37th, was assured by
council that the traffic study

would include Marine Drive -

from Capilano ‘through
Bewicke.

Mayor Marilyn Baker,
recognizing that the residents
group from the area was
very active, agreed with the
citizens that the concerns

should be dealt with as soon

as possible,
