United Way of the Lower
Mainland. It is the first
publication of its kind in.
British Columbia.

“Information for the
Sexually Assaulted” is a brief
but céimprehensive outline
of victim’s rights, police and
hospital procedures. The
book explains measures
required for collection of
evidence for court purposes
and strongly recommends
necessary tests for venereal
disease and pregnancy
following sexual assault. It
also examines myths
surrounding rape and the
emotional reactions of
victims is included, together
with guidelines for action m
the case of suspected sexual
molestation of children.

The handbook was
prepared by United Way's
Social - Planning and
Research Committee on the
Social and Health Aspects of
Rape.
