(lan Smith photo) > New hockey | system born Rec Centre coordinates coaches By PAT RICH When minor hockey starts on the North Shore this season the North Vancouver Recreation Centre will to be right in there with something the centre has been lacking over the past few years - a coordinated system. That at least is the hope of Randy Jordan, who will be coaching the Midget ‘A’ players as part of a four man coaching team. The desire of Jordan and the other coaches is to coordinate both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ division players at the Rec Centre in theory and practice as well as giving boys in the house league a chance to work their way up. | Ambient “The change will begin in the coaching theories and approach by the Midget A club,” Jordan says. Jordan, who has eight years coaching experience, wii be joined by Mark Beveridge and John Woodcock. Both have international playing and teaching ex- perience, including par- ticipation with the Australian national team. Also, with the belief that goahending is 70 per cent of the game, Guy Smith, will provide the midget club with specialized goaltending experience.
