The body was badly decomposed. West Vancouver Police said Steudle died as a result of a fall from the bridge. Seeger was not told by police whar day her son died. The death certificate indi- cates Sept. 7. Steudle disappeared Aug. 30 from Ladysmith, After the body was iden- tified, West Vancouver Police issued a issing car alert to the media, but did not provide a photograph of Steudle's 1976 Mercury Bobcat. Seeger said police did not ask her for a photograph of her son to help solicit witness responses. Steudle’s car was found last week in Sorrento, B.C. through sheer luck by Seeger’s friend.
